Director of Rugby Kenny Hamilton Club emphasised that the Club is seeking to freshen the coaching set up and both will bring a wealth of professional experience to their new roles as the Lead Coaching Team

Further coaching appointments are currently under consideration and will be announced in due course

Fin has a professional career with Glasgow Warriors behind him and was a player coach with Hawks last season whilst Colin Gregor who played some of his early rugby with GHK Junior section is the top points scorer in Scottish Sevens and was a member of the Hawks touring party to South Africa in 2003

Fin Gillies
Having impressed as part of the Scottish Rugby Elite Development programme for two seasons, Finlay Gillies was rewarded with a full-time contract with Glasgow Warriors for 2012/13.
In March 2010 he made his debut for the Scotland Club International team in their fixture against their Irish counterparts in Dublin before debuting for the Scotland 7s team in the HSBC Sevens World Series event in Hong Kong before travelling with the squad to Adelaide

His next involvement came with the abbreviated national team at the outset of 2014 when he was called into Stephen Gemmell’s squad to travel to Las Vegas.

Outside rugby, the Dunbar Grammar School former pupil has played for East Lothian’s county teams at both badminton and volleyball and was ranked in the Scottish top 50 in table tennis.

Colin Gregor
Colin Rhys Gregor skippered the Scots’ seven-a-side squad for the first time when they competed in the IRB World Series tournaments in Wellington (New Zealand) in February 2009. He continued in that role in the 2009 Rugby World Cup 7s, in Dubai, and for three seasons from 2011 to 2014.

In December 2013 at the Nelson Mandela Bay 7s in Port Elizabeth, Gregor became the first Scot to score 1000 points for his country and the eighth player in the history of the HSBC Sevens World Series to pass the same milestone. On retiring, following the conclusion of the 2013/14 HSBC Sevens World Series, he had become the circuit's third all-time top points scorer, with 1345 points, moving past Fiji's living legend Waisale Serevi.

His 50th cap was won at Twickenham in May 2014, the following year at the same tournament he became Scotland 7s' most capped played with his 58th appearance on the Series.

He was named in two Team Scotland, Rugby Sevens, Commonwealth Games squad, in his career - Melbourne 2006 and Glasgow 2014 - and travelled to three Rugby World Cup 7s - Hong Kong 2005, Dubai 2009 and Moscow 2013.

Colin began his playing days with Strathendrick before moving to New Zealand, where he joined Ponsonby. He made his debut for Watsonians against Grangemouth in 2000.

He has also played nine games for Scotland A, all bar one as a replacement. Most recently he played against Italy A in Biella (February 2010). His debut at that level was against New Zealand Maori in Edmonton, Canada in the 2006 Barclays Churchill Cup tournament. Gregor also played with Glasgow Warriors from 2004 to 2011, making 130 appearances.
