It is with deep sadness that we advise that former Glasgow Full Back, GHK player and coach John Hodgkinson passed away last night. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and had the honour of playing with him.

In 2006 his son Craig Hodgkinson, who won three national championships with Glasgow Hawks, collapsed and died in a match in Devonport playing for the Royal Navy
This led to the establishment of the Craig Hodgkinson Trust to provide defibrilator equipment to sports team, clubs and communities
